We believe that the design process begins with curiosity, and that this eagerness to learn is most productive when it is shared between architect and client. We like to ask questions, we like to solve problems, and we like to collaborate. Most of all, we want our work to express the knowledge and experience of the people that use, design and construct our surroundings.
ERA works on a range of projects and scales from furniture, to interior renovation, to new building construction. The work is unified by a collaborative design process between architect and client, and a focus on the material, detail and assembly of the built work.
Prior to founding his own studio, Eric spent over a decade at the offices of Diller Scofidio + Renfro, KieranTimberlake, and LevenBetts, where he designed and managed a wide range of award-winning residential, commercial and cultural projects. At ERA, Eric brings this experience together with the attention and client-focus possible in a small studio setting. He combines expertise with experimentation, practical knowledge with personalization, and an ability to find creative opportunities within design challenges.
